Your Timeless Journey Awaits...

Leading local specialists

“Our specialist art division, Timeless Africa Art Experiences, was created in recognition of international art lovers’ desire to seek out new and exciting ways to experience art. Our unique itineraries combine visits to South Africa’s most prominent galleries and museums in Cape Town and Johannesburg, with opportunities to meet with local artists, curators and prominent collectors, networking with like-minded individuals from around the world. Most of our guests choose to include a variety of African travel add-ons, from big 5 safaris to wine route explorations and gorilla trekking, allowing them to engage fully in Africa’s natural beauty.” – Marco van Embden, Chairman

Art should be experienced in context

All art aficionados understand the beauty and the intrinsic value of museums. Yet, they also understand that the ultimate way to engage with a work of art is in its local context. You deserve the opportunity to engage, in person, with local African art and emerging African artists.

Our art specialist division has planned luxury art and cultural tours to South Africa for museums such as the Tate, Guggenheim, Friends of the Israel Museum, Centre du Pompidou and most recently, SFMOMA. We were also appointed one of the official travel specialists for the opening of Zeitz MOCAA in 2017.

Luxury art and cultural journeys

South Africa is home to famously ancient and beautiful artworks, as well as a host of challenging contemporary artists. Our programmes are based on personal experience, local knowledge and close ties to the art community. Every itinerary we create is unique and customised to the individual or group’s needs and interests. We are also able to assist with exhilarating pre- or post-art-programme extensions to see the abundant wildlife our beautiful country has to offer.
