A Cape Road Trip Escape for Two

Arriving in Cape Town, the couple rented a car and drove themselves to The Marly Hotel & Spa in Camps Bay. A newly re-developed hotel located right on the beachfront in the exclusive Cape Town suburb of Camps Bay, the couple enjoyed picturesque seascapes and state-of-the-art amenities, making this the perfect destination for the two holidaymakers. 24-hour room service and a butler service were on hand to take their comfort levels even higher, with a rooftop pool and bar, spa and gym also available to aid their relaxation.

Days two and three were reserved for a stay at Bushmanskloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat, a luxurious ecological oasis at the foothills of the Cederberg Mountains. This multi award-winning Relais & Châteaux Lodge is renowned for its splendid luxury, generous hospitality, creative cuisine and warm hospitality – everything Marc was wanting for Isabelle on their trip. The inspired, authentic Cape cuisine was the cherry on top of a beautiful stay.

On day four of their getaway, the couple drove to the Whale Coast for a four-night stay at Grootbos Eco Reserve’s Forest Lodge. Nestled in an ancient milkwood forest, surrounded by rolling hills of fynbos and majestic mountains, The Forest Lodge features 16 freestanding luxury suites beneath an ancient forest canopy. Each of the suites is stylishly furnished with canopy beds, spacious en-suite bathrooms, separate lounges with cosy fireplaces and private wooden decks with spectacular panoramic views. The lodge features a variety of elegant dining venues, a bar, lounge, curio shop and conference centre. Spacious wooden decks and an infinity pool invite even deeper relaxation. After a luxuriously slow morning, the couple checked out for their drive back to Cape Town International Airport to catch their flight now.
