Susan and her family combined outdoor adventures, world-class restaurants, fine wines, Big 5 Safaris and a Mozambican island spoil on their Southern African getaway, topping their activities off with learning about local traditions, food and cultures.
Greeted by a VIP agent at Johannesburg International Airport, Susan and her family were escorted through immigration and baggage collection to their connecting flight to Cape Town. They checked in at the One & Only Hotel at the V&A Waterfront for four nights, where plenty of restaurants, attractions and Africa’s leading art museum are located. Their stay in Cape Town included a full-day, private Winelands tour where they were given plenty of food tasting options to choose from, too. The rest of their Cape Town leg was dedicated to a glorious tour of the Cape Peninsula and a memorable hike up Table Mountain.
The group headed back to the airport to fly to Kruger Mpumalnaga International Airport where they were transferred to Leopard Hills Private Game Lodge for three nights to take in the Big 5 on plenty of safaris.
Susan and her family then headed back to the airport to travel to their final Africa destination: andBeyond Benguerra Island, part of the Bazaruto Archipelago for four nights. Tucked into an indigenous forest overlooking a picturesque crescent of sandy beach, andBeyond Benguerra Island boasts ten casinhas with two cabanas featuring four-poster beds, private decks and plunge pools. The group enjoyed sea kayaking, sunset dhow cruises, snorkelling, picnics and a local village tour during their island stay.
The group ended their African getaway with a helicopter transfer from their island accommodation to Vilanculos Airport to catch their flight back to Johannesburg and then on home.
