15 NightsDestination: Namibia
On a return trip to Africa, Sharon, Yuval and their 4 teenagers explored the best of Namibia on this fly-in and privately guided safari. Their journey included the incredible dunescapes of Sossusvlei, thrilling activities in Swakopmund, the scenic majesty of Damaraland and the Big Five of Etosha. A perfect combination of awe-inspiring beauty, enriching and educational experiences and the thrill of African wildlife.
Arriving in to Johannesburg International Airport, Sharon and family were escorted through immigration and baggage collection in true VIP style. They relaxed after their flight at the Inter-Continental Hotel OR Tambo Airport.
An early flight saw the family arriving in Namibia and taking to the skies again with scenic flight over the Naukluft Mountain Range to their lodge bordering the iconic Dunes of Sossusvlei. Their stay was filled with memorable experiences; from Hot air Ballooning over the Dunes at sunrise, to climbing ‘Big Daddy’, photographing eerie Deadvlei, e-bike trails and rooftop sleep-out under the brilliant starry night sky.
Sharon and the family met their private guide and departed on an epic road-trip through some of the moon-like landscapes that Namibia is so well-known for. The family enjoyed an adventurous few days in Swakopmund – from kayaking and visiting the seal colony at Sandwich harbour, to visiting the giant dunes that run into the ocean, to Sand-Boarding and Quad-Biking – an adrenalin junkie’s dream!
Guided by their private local guide, the family headed north along the stunning Skeleton Coast to visit the Cape Cross Seal Colony, viewed some shipwrecks along this rugged coastline and then headed into the Brandberg for their stay in the dramatic Damaraland region, where visiting Rock Paintings was a highlight.
Continuing on their private guided safari, the family explored the Petrified Forest and headed on towards Etosha. Sharon and his family spent the last part of their trip on game drives in the spectacular southern section of the iconic Etosha National Park.
Moving on to the western sector of the Etosha National Park, the family enjoyed a wonderfully private Farm House stay, where the family could explore the reserve at their own leisure, under the expert guidance of their private guide.
Taking a relaxed drive heading back toward Windhoek, the famly spent their last night in stylish comfort with the beautiful scenery of Namibia on their doorstep and the sounds of the wild to bid them farewell.
Sharon, Yuval and their 4 teens bid farwell to their guid and new friend after an epic, adventurous and bonnding trip.
